My Weekend with the Palevsky ![]() I just had a wondeful weekend in Tokyo. Mr. Max Palevsky and his family visited Shunkoin temple in Kyoto about 10 days ago. They looked around the temple, and I hosted the Zen Buddhist style vegetarian lunch party and meditation seminar for them. They loved whole things at the temple. So, the Palevsky and their family friend, Mr. Singer, invited me to a private party at the Hara Museum in Shinagawa, Tokyo on the 15th of June. In the morning of the 15th, I was attending a seminar at the Myoshinji temple. As soon as the seminar ended, I went back home and changed my clothes. Then, I headed to the JR Kyoto station and jumped on a Shinkansen express bounding to Tokyo. I was really worry if I could be at the party on time. Fortunatelly, I could be the Hara Museum on time. I started chatting with some of Mr. Palevsky's family. And, once again, they told me how much they loved Zen meditation and would like to visit Kyoto and the temple again. I was so happy. Short time after I was there, a buto dance performance started. The dance team was from Kyoto. Mr. Palevsky invited them from Kyoto. The performance was just amazing. It was out of the world. Old thing meets new ones. West meets East. Wow, I was so moved. Next day, the Palevsky's invited me for lunch before they headed back to the U.S. I saw them at the hotel they stayed. And, we had a wonderful meal and conversations. Nothing is a better spice than nice conversations. It was wonderful time. I am really looking forward to see them in the States again. I am really honor to meet such wonderful people. Gassho
